The Cleaning Process…
The Cleaner Image uses a 4 step process to revitalize your floor surfaces. This process not only restores your floors to their original beauty, it also guards your grout when sealed from staining and discoloring.
- STEP 1 A non-toxic cleaning solution is applied to the tile and grout lines and allowed to dwell for 20 minutes. The solution is then worked into the pores to loosen embedded dirt, grease, oils and other contaminants.
- STEP 2 Using our 220 degrees of water and up to 1200 pounds of water pressure per square inch we thoroughly steam away, rinse and extract the dirt, oils and pollutant laden water out of the pores of the grout and tile into our truck's recovery tank. This clean and efficient process is all fluid controlled so there is no over-spray of water or cleaning solution.
- STEP 3 Next we dry the floor surfaces using a high speed turbo air mover which takes between 10 -30 minutes. We are then able to inspect the floor to see the true condition of the grout and can tell at this point if there is any permanent staining or discoloration.
- STEP 4 If you are pleased with the results of the cleaning, we can go ahead and apply a clear sealer to the floor to protect it from further staining. Hard Surface Grout Sealer helps improve the appearance of porous grout in ceramic tile floors by protecting against spilled liquids, soil and oils. Your grout will look almost as good as the day it was installed.
- In residential applications depending on foot traffic and pets, the floors should be professionally maintained at least once per year to revitalize the floor surfaces and grout lines at a substantial discount.
- In commercial applications depending on foot traffic and conditions, the floors should be professionally maintained at least quarterly to revitalize the floor surfaces and grout lines at a substantial discount.
Did you know?
- If you use store bought chemicals to clean your tile and stone floors, it can actually damage your floors permanently.
- Sealers are designed to "repel" not to exactly keep your floors from getting dirty.
- Most effective machine to run this operation would be a "truckmount". There are other forms of cleaning machinery, however, one key part of the process is HEAT! I mean consistent HEAT! Heat mixed with vacuum (High) and akaline based chemicals is the reason for fast and efficient service. This is known as the "real deal".
- After service is completed at your residence, try not to clean your floors for atleast 2 weeks, and after that clean every week and try to work in sections ie: kitchen on Mondays, Foyer on Sundays, etc.
Tips & Advice
- After floor is cleaned and sealed, the tile sealer will need to "cure" within a 24 hour period. Air, heat, and other methods for drying will not speed up the "curing" process.
- Try to wear socks at all times especially through the "curing" process.
- Please refrain from using existing chemicals found in your home, or aisles of cleaning chemicals found at your local stores. Also avoid recommendations made by friends or family. These "foreign" chemicals or "methods" can actually embed dirt or grime permanently into your floors, sometimes making it impossible to remove.
- Hazing and Smearing could be possible after sealing sets up, let sealer sit for a week before any cleaning or removal so the curing is set.
- Annual Service from The Cleaner Image is highly recommended, and furthermore will help you keep like-new floors year around!
What to Expect
Here are a few things you should know before we start...Our cleaning process can, in most cases, return your floor to 85% or more from its original condition. We promise that we will do our best to satisfy you, but believe it or not, there are limits to what we can do. Please have all areas cleared of furniture and knick-knacks before we arrive. We do not move washer and dryers, dishwashers, or refrigerators. We will point out any existing damage, staining, or concerns on your floor before we start. We appreciate it if you do the same. We will not be responsible for pre-existing conditions that are beyond our control such as loose grout and tiles, cracked or missing tiles and grout, discoloring or fading, as well as scratches in tile. We will not be responsible for correcting uncovered damages or staining that could not be seen previously due to soil build up. There may be areas that we cannot reach with the tools that we have. There are certain products and foods that stain grout permanently, we will not know what can and cannot come out until we actually clean the surface. Wax is our enemy it is extremely difficult to remove from the grout! We can attempt to remove it and have had some success, but we cannot guarantee complete removal. If we feel our cleaning process will be doing more harm than good due to existing problems the floor may have, we will stop all work.
